Key features for golfers

FlagFinder

TheFlagFinder makes itmucheasierto locate the flag, as it identifies the flag against the background. This technology helps you hit the flag with ease, even if there are trees or bushes behind the green. You can choose from three different targeting options.

Vibration

Thevibration provideshaptic feedback and helps you lock onto the target. Once the Birdie has locked onto the target, it vibrates briefly and indicates the distance to the flag. This gives the player immediate feedback and allows them to feel confident as they prepare for their shot.

Scan Mode

With thescan mode, you can quickly and easily measure distances to various objects. By holding down the button, you can determine the distance to the flag, the front of the green, a bunker, or a tree in a matter of seconds.

Slope Mode

Slope model with elevation measurement. The actual distance you need to play, taking the elevation difference into account, is displayed. For example, when playing uphill, a shot to a flag 100 meters away should be played as if it were 110 meters. The slope function can be turned on and off with a button and is therefore permitted in tournaments.

Nach etwas Überlegen zwischen einer GPS-Uhr und einem Laser habe ich mich für den Birdie 1300 Pro Slope entschieden, da mich auch auf der Range die Übungsdistanzen interessieren und ich so flexibler bin. Das Gerät ist sehr einfach zu bedienen und liefert schnell plausible Messergebnisse. Der Laser ist nicht auf Tageslicht angewiesen, nur muss man selbst eben noch genug durchs Okular erkennen können. Die Fahne wird gut erkannt. Das Gerät ist recht klein, liegt aber trotzdem gut in der Hand. Die Slope-Funktion zeigt erst den Winkel (+/- für aufwärts/abwärts) an und dann die Distanz inkl. Höhendifferenz. Ist genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Liefert hoffentlich lange treue Dienste.

Schneller Versand. Gleich an neu angelegter Landstrasse getestet. Leitpfostenabstand jeweils 50 m. Messung 50 m: 50 m, 100 m: 99 m, 150 m: 149 m. Alles stehend, beidhändig haltend gemessen wegen Bewegungsunschärfe. Leitpfosten haben Reflektor, daher passendes Messobjekt. Ergebnis: Absolut perfektes Messgerät!!
PS: Vorbeifahrende Autos haben sofort auf Richtgeschwindigkeit abgebremst, haben da wohl etwas anderes vermutet.
