Key features for golfers

FlagFinder

FlagFinder makesit mucheasierto spot the flag, as it identifies the flag against the background. This technology helps you hit the flag with ease, even if there are trees or bushes behind the green.

Vibration

Thevibration provideshaptic feedback and helps the player lock onto the target. Once the laser has locked onto the target, it vibrates briefly and displays the distance to the flag. This gives the player immediate feedback and allows them to feel confident as they prepare for their shot.

Scan Mode

With thescan mode, you can quickly and easily measure distances to various objects. By holding down the button, you can determine the distance to the flag, the front of the green, a bunker, or a tree in a matter of seconds.

Slope Mode

The Slope elevation measurement calculates the actual distance to be played based on the difference in elevation. For example, when playing uphill, a shot to a flag 100 meters away should be played as if it were 110 meters. The Slope function can be turned on and off, making it tournament-approved. Additionally, this laser has an LED on the front that glows green when Slope is deactivated. This makes it visible to other players as well.

Magnet

The laser's convenient magnetic side panel allows you to easily attach it to a clubhead, golf cart, cart handle, or other magnetic surfaces. This keeps it within easy reach during your round, so you don't have to put it away in your bag.

Battery

The eco-friendly, high-performance rechargeable battery lasts an extremely long time on a single charge (about 5,000 measurements), which is comparable to a disposable battery. It can be easily charged using a USB cable.

I’m very happy with the lasers. I use the Birdie myself, and I just bought the Mini for my wife. Precision and everything else are perfect, but for me personally, it’s a bit too small—I prefer the “regular” Birdie. Otherwise, it’s very practical—you can even slip it into your back pocket. Don’t expect too much from the magnet; in my opinion, it’s not strong enough. I’d be worried about losing the laser. If compactness is a top priority, you should buy the Mini; otherwise, I’d prefer the Birdie. The value for money is unbeatable with both.

I’m really impressed by the size and weight. It fits easily in your pants pocket without getting in the way, so it’s always within quick reach. It’s especially handy when you’re out on the course with three clubs and need to bring the measuring device along to help you choose the right club. The measurement accuracy is 100% reliable. It takes about 5 minutes to get used to handling it, but after that, it’s great. The magnet is a great idea. I’m just worried that the device might come loose if it gets jostled and get lost. But while the magnet is practical, it’s not the most important thing in my opinion.

So when I came across the Birdie mini, it took me less than 10 seconds to go from reading the description to placing my order. After a quick delivery, I’ve now had a chance to test it out on the course, and I have to say: small but mighty! Despite its compact size, it’s very easy to handle. It takes precise measurements—though, unfortunately, my shots don’t always match that precision. But I’m thrilled with the Birdie mini.
